Robert Duncan Drystane Dyking

Having left school in 1979,I began an apprenticeship as a Drystane Dyker with Hugh Drysdale (Master Craftsman) with whom I worked with happily for 10 years.I then started my own Drystane Dyking business in 1989,based firstly in Auldgirth and then some years later in Dumfries,which is where I am based today.My work ranges from repairing and rebuilding field dykes to more complex ornamental projects.I have over 30 years experience working with different types of natural stone.I undertake both large and small projects in South West Scotland (and further afield if required), working closely with all of my clients to provide a reliable and professional service.
